Firstly congratulations on your forthcoming Ibiza wedding! My name is Zoey and I am a bespoke bridal dressmaker of 25 years with extensive knowledge of wedding dresses and the handling of fabrics.
I am the only person on the island offering a professional mobile wedding dress steaming, menswear pressing and alteration service in the comfort of your accomodation.
HOW IT WORKS
The service works like this - I visit the accommodation you will be getting ready at to steam your wedding dress and veil, plus any other garments required. My purpose is to return your dress to pristine condition and to assist you in been 'wedding ready'. With your garments professionally steamed, pressed, hung, organised and expertly covered, it is one less job for you to think about during the busy time of meetings and socialising, running up to your special day.
Some dresses travel well…. and others terribly! Brides are sometimes told that their dress will not require steaming, and that hanging it in a steamy bathroom will be sufficient. This will not, however, give perfect results and may leave brides looking and feeling less than perfect on their big day. A hand steamer can be purchased but this will rarely give a professional finish.
Heavy lace, corded lace or heavily beaded gowns can travel fairly well; whereas full dresses, tulle, satin, chiffon, silk and certain crepes (particularly those with long trains) travel badly. Even if your dress does not need special attention, it may be that you require your veil, bridesmaids dresses, suits and shirts to be steamed.
WHAT I OFFER
As an experienced bridal dressmaker of 25 years, I understand how each individual dress needs to be steamed…and also the importance of keeping it from prying eyes before the big day!
The Steamstress Ibiza is the islands only mobile professional wedding dress steaming service.
I cover the entire island in the comfort of your accommodation.
The mobile service is flexible around your schedule and location.
Your gown and veil will be covered to prevent re-creasing, for protection plus to not be visible. This means it can stay safely hidden away in it’s dress box right up until your appointment with The Steamstress Ibiza.
Your garments will be ‘wedding ready’ saving you a huge task at your busiest time. Your dress will be positioned with the train hanging correctly, bridesmaids’ dresses placed on their hangers, suits named and with corresponding shirts.
I also offer menswear pressing, plus steaming for veils, flower girl dresses, bridesmaids’ dresses and guests garments.
I can undertake emergency and last minute alterations which can be fitted, collected and delivered back to you.
